Education ministry's trip to Vaitupu

Motufoua Secondary school is having its prize giving day this Friday and former Governor General Sir Tomasi Puapua will be the guest of honour at the event.


This will also be the last day of the school year and students from outside Vaitupu will travel to their respective islands after the prize giving ceremony on the vessels Manufolau and Nivaga Lua.

From the education headquarters on the capital, Director of Education and delegation will travel to Vaitupu to discuss with the Vaitupu Kaupule the construction of classrooms for its primary school but will also attend the Prize Giving ceremony.

Vaitupu is the last island in the group to have its classrooms constructed under the European Union education project that is to end next year.

Whilst on Vaitupu DOE Katalina Taloka will also facilitate the marking of Year Eight and Tuvalu School Certificates Examination Papers.

The delegation will include officials from education ministry, EU representative, Public Works, Lands and Survey and Home Affairs.
